GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR GROUP VISITS AND FOR BOOKING GUIDED TOURS
GROUPS VISITING WITHOUT A GUIDED TOUR
Visit to the permanent exhibitions:
Groups of 30 persons or more are requested to register their group by writing to info@mfab.hu. The registration is only valid with the confirmation email. Please register at least one week (but not more that 2 months) before your planned visit. We register bookings in the order of the visiting date. In case you would like to book for more than one month ahead, we kindly ask your patince until reciving a response, admission to the permanent exhibition will not be limited by other groups.
The information concerning fees and dates as transmitted via our website or as stated in the confirmation e-mail is authoritative; we cannot accept reference to any information provided verbally only.
Please note that only the trained guides of the museum are allowed to guide tours in our exhibition halls.
If you are a teacher wishing to guide your students please indicate this in your letter and we provide a license which is valid only in halls of the permanent exhibition, neither teachers are permitted to guide in temporary exhibitions.
Visit to the temporary exhibition MUNKÁCSY:
We can accept groups with skip-the-line entry only with a ticket purchased online in advance (see below). Otherwise, they can arrive at the tickets office in the order of arrival by purchasing tickets on site.
PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER IS NOT POSSIBLE.
TICKETS PURCHASED IN ADVANCE CANNOT BE REFUNDED.
In addition to pre-purchased tickets, it is possible to request additional paid or free tickets (for persons eligible for that) at the ticket office on site at your visit.
Payment:
Admission tickets can be paid for at the ticket desk upon arrival, in cash (HUF) or with bank cards. Requesting concession requires presenting the proof of entitlement at the ticket desk, or in case of tickets purchased in advance, at the admission. In order to fasten your admission, we assure you priority at the ticket desk on the right side.
Admission tickets can be purchased in advance – not more than one month ahead:
– online at the jegymester.hu (jegymester.hu/ Exhibitions / Museum of Fine Arts ), and at Ligetplusz.hu as well (without an E-fee)
– at the ticket offices of Ticketexpressz / Eventim and their international partners (eventim.hu)
NO PAYMENT BY TRANSFER is possible.
NO REFUND OF A TICKET PURCHASED IN ADVANCE is possible.
Invoices are issued by the ticket selling place at the time of the purchase, afterwards we cannot accept any claim for an invoice. More information on the invoices for online ticket purchase can be found on the website jegymester.hu.
In case you cancelling your visit, please send an e-mail until 4 pm the day prior to your visit the latest to the address below. Tickets purchased at jegymester.hu can be changed to a later date until the previous day of the visit online at the registered user profile. Please inform us about the change.
During the visit, all group members must be aware of and follow the MUSEUM RULES that can be found in the Entrance Hall as well. We consider the group leader / organiser to be responsible to notify the members of the group about these rules and to make sure that they are followed.

GROUPS WITH A GUIDED TOUR
Guided tours must be booked in advance, for small companions as weell as for organised groups. Please, write an e-mail to education@mfab.hu AT LEAST 2 WEEKS BEFORE the date of your visit.
Group size: One group can be composed of maximum 17 persons. Larger groups need to be divided and the fee of the guided tour is paid per group.
Fee: The fee for a booked, 60 minutes guided tour in foreign languages is HUF 30.000, plus everyone need to have an admission ticket.
Arrival: Please arrive to the museum at least 15 minutes before the time of the tour.
Your guide will arrive 5 minutes before the agreed time at the Marble Hall near to the main entrance. Please wait for your guide in the hall and assure free movement to other visitors at the entrance. We only begin the tour at the agreed time even if your group arrives earlier. We kindly ask for your patience.
If you cannot arrive in time, please notify our colleagues at the Information Desk as soon as possible by calling +36 1 4697788. We can tolerate max. 30 minutes of delay. If you are late more than 30 minutes we cannot provide the tour that time.
In case you cancelling your visit and/or the tour, please send an e-mail as soon as possible but until 4 pm the last prevoius working day the latest to the above address. Tickets purchased online at jegymester.hu can be changed to a later date until the previous day of the visit. Please inform us about the change.
