Mummy cartonnage

This cartonnage trapping, which was made of plastered layers of linen, once covered a mummy. It bears funerary scenes and the images of deities protecting the deceased. In the upper register the embalming scene is depicted with the figures of Anubis, isis and Nephthys. In the next register come the figures of the four sons of Horus, then two winged goddesses, and the lower register contains the images of two jackals.
