“It is always a special occasion when a museum purchases an artwork closely related to a piece already in its collection.” Károly Pulszky bought a life-size terracotta statue of the Archangel Gabriel in Florence in 1895. The museum was able to acquire a pair of this statue in 2023. This enabled us to reassemble the Annunciation group in our permanent exhibition.
